• Cloud Company Established

Jim Rucker Sr. started Cloud Company in 1951 as a tool and die shop in the San Francisco Bay Area (USA).

  • Our First Machine

Cloud Company’s first machine, the 1804, was developed in the early 1960s for the marine transportation trade.

  • The Series II

Demand from customers (marine and industrial alike) for a smaller, less bulky machine was immediate. In the early 1970s, the Series II machine was introduced. A large number of these machines are still in use today in a major U.S. brewery.

  • The Series III

In 1980, the first Series III machines were introduced. The Series III boasted some dramatic improvements in design and serviceability over the Series II machines. Many of Cloud’s current models are based in principle on the Series III design.

  • Cloud International

In 2008, Cloud acquired Sellers Cleaning Systems to broaden the company’s product offerings worldwide. Sellers had been manufacturing and marketing its products since 1871. Cloud’s Series III-based machinery continues to set the standard for reliability today.

  • A New Era

In March 2014, Cloud Company moved into a 26,000 square foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in San Luis Obispo, California. The move was undertaken to support the company’s growth and new product development initiatives.

  • Cloud Joins Spray

On February 2nd, 2023 Spraying Systems Co. acquired Cloud Company, strengthening a long term relationship and further expanding our product lines for tank cleaning operations in a large array of industries.
